Omdat het me zelf interesseert heb ik de neiging veel inhoud te leveren. Maar transfer van vaardigheden vraagt niet om steeds meer inhoud. Transfer vraagt activiteiten waarin deelnemers het geleerde actief toepassen. En niet alles op 1 dag maar kleine prikkels verspreid over langere periode (zie ook de vergeet curve van Ebinghaus)! Paul Matthews zegt het beter dan ik:
You’ve got to deliver lots of little activities often in order for this to really work. Then of course, each one looks individually easy to do, and you don’t need massive motivation in the moment to go and do it.
So in terms of follow up to a training course for learning transfer, the little and often mantra, you need to be keeping to that, how do we deliver them lots of little activities over a period of time. And each of those activities is small enough they can say, “oh, I can do that. I’ll do that”.
